A road rage confrontation between a driver and an e-bike rider in Manheim Township has escalated into a criminal investigation after the rider allegedly smashed a car mirror, made an obscene gesture, and asked the driver if he wanted to be shot. The confrontation unfolded near the intersection of Oregon Pike and Chester Road on August 23, spilling into the parking lot of a nearby shopping center before the rider fled a second time.
According to the victim’s account to police, the trouble began at Butler and Sunset Avenues, where the man on the e-bike ran a stop sign, prompting the victim to honk his horn, as reported by WGAL. The rider responded with an obscene gesture, then rode in front of the victim’s vehicle.
