Sophia Cover, 16, of Naples, Fla., went missing on July 31 at 12:45 a.m. She was last seen walking on 62nd Avenue wearing a hoodie and carrying a backpack.
Her father, Richard Cover, worked to bring attention to his daughter’s disappearance. Cover posted videos of family members asking Sophia to return home. As the case began receiving media attention, he shared information about when she was last seen, where she could have been and other details that could assist with the search.
