Shangri-La, the popular restaurant and event space in the heart of Fair Oaks Village at 7960 Winding Way, has been publicly posted for sale. Owner Sommer Peterson made the decision so that she could spend more time with her preteen daughter.
“I started creating Shangri-La when I was a single mom, and my daughter was three, turning four, and she’s 12 now. I have not been as present as I would have liked to be for her life, and it really breaks you after a while. We’re going into these years where a young girl really needs her mom, and it’s just a time for a family change,” she said.
