The death of a 30-year veteran Worcester police officer, Kurt Solomon, has officially been declared a homicide, according to his death certificate.
Solomon, 57, died on Aug. 18 at 5:42 a.m., the death certificate reads. Worcester Police Chief Paul Saucier said on Monday that based on preliminary information, Solomon’s death was thought to be a murder-suicide involving his wife, Karen Solomon. Officers on Monday found a body believed to be Karen Solomon’s near a Worcester rehab facility, ending a seven-day search.
