A Baytown, Texas, man faces vehicular homicide charges following a horrific single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning in Cameron Parish that left one passenger dead and another seriously injured.
The crash occurred shortly after 1 a.m. on La. 27 near Ruby Lane. According to Louisiana State Police Troop D, 34-year-old Rogelio Sanchez was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche westbound when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. The vehicle began spinning counterclockwise before overturning.
