NWS: Heavy downpours possible near San Antonio today. Here’s when

Another round of intense storms could hit the San Antonio region on Friday, August 28. This follows overnight power outages that forced at least one school district in the area to cancel classes.

Several cities are at risk of scattered showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). In particular, weather radar shows them forming over Rocksprings, near Austin, and east of the Alamo City.
