One building on the corner of West Baseline Road and Southwest 170th Avenue in Beaverton stands out. Surrounded by more mundane brown apartment buildings, the structure is dressed in three hues of green, and a white jagged line cuts through that paint like a pixelated river.
That funky building is Camas Meadows, an affordable housing complex scheduled to open sometime in the fall, according to Lauren Schmidt, a spokesperson for nonprofit REACH Community Development. REACH is one of several organizations working on the nearly $52 million project.
