EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) – Everything is shaping up for this weekend’s Route 66 Beach Festival at Arcadia Lake. Organizers were out getting things ready at Edmond Park Beach as teams got some practice in Friday morning.
The Olympics’ newest sport, beach sprints, will officially be making its way to Oklahoma shores at the event.
“It’s really fun,” Peru National Team member Natalia Monteverde said. “It’s not very common, so it’s really interesting, whenever I tell my friends what I’m doing, they’re like so confused, but it’s so cool.”…
