Hawaii Supreme Court upholds murder conviction of Molokai man who confessed to killing girlfriend

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Hawaii Supreme Court has affirmed the 2022 murder conviction of Mariano Garces Jr., who confessed to killing his girlfriend.

His attorney argued that his client’s emotional confession should have been thrown out. Justices disagreed and upheld the conviction.
