NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is leading an investigation after a member of the Metro Nashville Police Department shot and killed a man armed with a sword in northeast Nashville.
According to MNPD, an officer shot a 54-year-old man armed with a sword outside of his Hyundai sedan on Cheshire Drive shortly after 2 p.m.

MNPD said a woman who was reportedly being held against her will was in the car at the time of the shooting.
