(FOX40.COM) — A house was heavily damaged after a fire burned throughout the structure Saturday morning in Sacramento County, fire officials said.
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to reports of a residential fire in the 5100 block of Primrose Drive in Fair Oaks at around 6:20 a.m. Crews arrived and found flames coming “through the roof” of the home, fire officials said.
Firefighters battled the fire while searching the residence to ensure no one was inside the actively burning home. According to Sacramento Metro Fire, the house sustained “major damage” throughout.
After containing the fire, crews remained on scene for multiple hours to search the heavily damaged home for hidden flames and extinguish them. Sacramento Metro Fire is investigating the fire’s cause, which is “undetermined” as of Monday morning, fire officials said…
