Sunny, Dry Heat Dominates Saturday
Afternoon heat-index values could reach 97 degrees, while humidity in the lowlands falls to roughly 15% to 20%. The National Weather Service says no watches, warnings, or advisories are in effect for the area, but the combination of extreme heat and very dry air still calls for caution outdoors.
Saturday night will turn partly cloudy, with a low around 77 degrees and light east-southeast winds. Sunday will look much the same: sunny, near 100 degrees, and largely dry across El Paso, while the better storm chances remain in the mountains and areas west of the Continental Divide.
