EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — We’re tracking a mostly dry weekend across the Borderland, with limited storm chances mainly along and west of the Continental Divide. The best opportunities for thunderstorms potentially over the area mountains and western locations, where a few storms could produce brief heavy downpours and gusty winds.
Temperatures looking to remain above normal through the weekend and into next week. Lowland highs are expected to range from the mid-90s to around 100 degrees, running about 5 to 10 degrees above average for late August.
By Monday, storm chances looking increase slightly as moisture begins to move farther east, bringing a slight chance for thunderstorms into portions of the lowlands. Western areas and the mountains will continue to have the best chances for storms…
