LOVINGTON, N.M. (KCBD) – The Sam Collins era is off to a successful start! On Friday, the Lubbock Christian Eagles were able to overcome the Lovington Wildcats (last week’s End Zone “Team of the Week”) 17-15.
The game was tied 8-8 heading into the fourth. When the Wildcats attempted the go-ahead FG, Brylan Cunningham returned the blocked attempt all the way in for the Eagles’ touchdown.
With minutes left to play, Wildcat Jude Madrid scored at the goal line as Lovington took a 15-14 lead. However, too much time was left on the clock as Levi Patton hit the game-winner from 37 yards out…
