Riverwest Cat Tour brings neighbors together to meet local felines

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The Riverwest Cat Tour invited people to meet neighborhood cats Saturday, Aug. 29, kicking off at Black Husky Brewing with music, food and a raffle. Kittens were also available for adoption.

The event is about more than just cats, according to founder Katy Schlais. “It’s basically just to build community, to get to know your neighbors and have a space that we can appreciate cats,” Schlais said.

“I always like to get to know my neighbors. I think that Riverwest is pretty tight knit. We have big events like the Riverwest 24, and I’m hoping this becomes one too, where you get to know your neighbors and just foster a sense of community.”…
