Man dies from gunshot wound on Uintah: CSPD

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man died following a morning shooting, despite medical intervention by emergency responders on Saturday, Aug. 29, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

Police reported that at around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of West Uintah Street, near North 17th Street, west of I-25. When they arrived at the scene, officers found a man bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound as he lay on the sidewalk.

Officers secured the location and attempted emergency medical intervention, but the victim died at the scene. After speaking with witnesses, officers concluded that the gunshot wound was self-inflicted…
