One person is dead and another was hospitalized after a fire destroyed a home in Somerton on Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out just after 3:30 p.m. on the 1500 block of Wayside Road, according to 6abc. Crews arrived to find heavy flames and a partially collapsed roof.
Officials confirmed one person died in the blaze but did not release the victim’s identity. A second victim was taken to an area hospital. The extent of that person’s injuries was not immediately known…
