Five residents were taken to hospitals and 12 were displaced after a fire erupted inside a San Francisco Mission District apartment.
The fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. Saturday on the 1800 block of Mission Street, sending three people to hospitals for smoke inhalation, San Francisco Fire Department spokesperson Samuel Menchaca said. He said he was unsure about the status of the remaining victims taken to hospitals but said they probably had minor injuries.
