BELLEVILLE, Ill. – More than 1,000 people, including hundreds of police officers and first responders, gathered Sunday at Belleville East High School to pay their final respects to Belleville Police Chief Matthew Eiskant.
Eiskant, 49, died Monday after a battle with cancer. He served with the Belleville Police Department for more than 25 years.
