WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) – On Sunday, Aug. 30, firefighters are continuing to secure the remaining uncontained portion of the 15,085-acre Hawk Fire northwest of Reno, according to an incident update news release from Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, City of Reno Fire Department, U.S. Forest Service and Complex Incident Management.
The blaze destroyed 47 homes and buildings, and damaged an additional 14.
