Gardner-filmed ‘Bolio’ lands centerpiece spot at Boston festival

A movie that transformed parts of Gardner into a film set last summer is headed for the spotlight at one of New England’s most respected film festivals.

“Bolio,” an independent comedy filmed extensively in Gardner, will have its world premiere as the centerpiece film of the 42nd Boston Film Festival, according to director Jim Issa.
