Southwest Florida’s “Unbuilt Triangle” In the Know first outlined for you in 2024 was exactly what the name implied: A vast expanse of largely undeveloped land stretching across eastern Lee County and parts of Hendry County, with connections to eastern Collier County expansion corridors.
While growth blew up along the coast and Interstate 75 corridor, the Triangle remained more concept than reality. Developers and planners quietly pointed toward the area as the region’s next frontier. And for the greater part of its existence, much of it remained ranchland, farmland and environmental open space for nature and wildlife.
