Pennsylvania (WHP) — The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation of Natural Resources (DCNR) held a send-off for a crew of local firefighters who are on their way to Washington to combat the wildfires spreading across the state.
The 20-person wildland firefighting crew departed Sunday.
“Nationwide assignments reflect the strong cooperative agreements that allow DCNR to share skilled, certified wildland firefighters wherever the need is greatest,” the department shared in a Facebook post about their wildfire efforts…
