Ruby Tilghman is in Florida this week for the Miss America competition. As Miss Alabama 2026, Tilghman is one of 52 women vying to become Miss America 2027. The title comes with $50,000 in scholarship money and a yearlong reign.
Several other scholarships awarded at the pageant will range from $3,000 to $10,000, according to organizers.
