OREGON, Ohio (WTVG) – The 60th year of the German-American Festival has come to a close. People joined together Aug. 28-30 for what organizers describe as northwest Ohio’s oldest and largest ethnic celebration.
Oregon’s German-American Festival has become a long-term tradition for many across northwest Ohio. Over the past six decades, multiple generations have shown the next the importance of traditional folk music, authentic Swiss and German food, and popular German contests.
“We’re just reliving our heritage from years past,” said Ivan Meyers, chairman of the North Parking lot.
