A 27-year-old Minneapolis man died Sunday afternoon after losing control of his motorcycle and striking a guardrail on Minnesota Highway 60 west of Wabasha, becoming the third rider to crash at the exact same stretch of road in less than a month. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his name had not yet been released by authorities as of Sunday evening.
According to KDHL Radio, the crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. approximately 3 1/2 miles west of Wabasha, with the motorcyclist traveling west up the bluff when he lost control, according to a preliminary crash report. The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, and Minnesota State Patrol reported the fatal incident. The crash remains under investigation.
