SAN ANTONIO – As storm damage and widespread power outages continue to disrupt daily life in San Antonio, the San Antonio Food Bank says it is expanding emergency food assistance and calling for volunteers to help meet growing needs across the community.
For storm-related assistance, neighbors can call 210-431-8326. The food bank said the assistance line will be available until 10 p.m. today. From tomorrow, Aug. 31, through Saturday, Sept. 5, the line will be open until 6 p.m.
The food bank said distributions took place yesterday and today and will continue in the coming days at various community locations. On Sunday, Aug. 30, the San Antonio Food Bank said 224 households were served at its curbside distribution. The food bank also reported deliveries to 14 apartment complexes, totaling 2,517 households…
