Woman Pushed Onto Subway Tracks Requests a Visit by Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Says NYC ‘Is Not Safe’

A New York City woman was the victim of a terrifying incident and is demanding action from Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

On Saturday, August 29, the New York Daily News reported that 65-year-old Lydia Zuniga was waiting for a train at a Bronx station around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, when a stranger pushed her onto the tracks.

“I just twisted a little bit to see if the train was coming, and, next thing I know, I was flying onto the tracks,” Zuniga, who works in public safety at New York University, recounted. “The person that pushed me must have been full of anger because I felt that the push that (he) gave me was enormous.”…
