A beloved Somerville bar is no longer in danger of being demolished.
Developer Copper Mill wanted to build a 500-unit apartment building on the site of the Burren, a popular Irish pub and music venue in Davis Square. In an Aug. 31 letter to the Davis Square Neighborhood Council, the developer said it would not be moving forward with the project.
