Safer, smoother streets coming to multiple areas in Gwinnett County city

The City of Norcross is beginning a nearly $1.8 million road resurfacing project today, Aug. 31. The project will improve 19 streets throughout the community.

The Norcross City Council awarded the resurfacing contract to DCBC LLC. Funding for the project is provided through 2023 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) funds, Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) funds and Local Road Assistance funding.

“Maintaining safe, high-quality streets is one of the most important services we provide,” Mayor Craig Newton said. “This latest round of resurfacing builds upon the significant progress Norcross has made in improving the roads our residents, businesses and visitors use every day.”…
