Residents and visitors should avoid treated sections of Goguac Lake for 24 hours after an aquatic weed treatment scheduled for Sept. 1 in Battle Creek.
The City of Battle Creek, working with the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, will apply a treatment in selected areas of the lake to control nuisance aquatic weeds, according to a community announcement. The treatment is intended to help maintain a safe and healthy lake environment.
