Monday marked the start of a new school year at Michigan State, and another new chapter for the school’s athletic department.
New athletic director Dan Bartholomae, whose hiring was announced earlier this month, officially began work in East Lansing on Monday. Bartholomae succeeds J Batt, who held the job for one year before leaving for the same position at Kentucky. Bartholomae previously spent four-plus years serving as the athletic director at Western Michigan.
