The Ozarks’ strangest hike waits near Pelsor
Ozark National Forest holds a rock formation you will not find anywhere else in Arkansas.
Head off Highway 16 near Pelsor and two trails split from one trailhead, leading past freestanding stone columns shaped like giant mushrooms and toward a waterfall dropping more than a hundred feet off a sandstone ledge.
A natural stone arch and hidden caves wait along the way too. You can walk both loops in half a day, and the strangest part comes near the very end.
