Downtown Denver office tower to welcome new restaurant next year
Award-winning Denver Chef Troy Guard is opening another restaurant in downtown Denver.The Tag Restaurant Group — which operates Los Chingones, Guard and Grace, HashTAG, Bubu and Done Deal — announced plans to open a new restaurant inspired by Guard’s mother at 1900 Lawrence.
The new restaurant inside one of downtown Denver’s youngest office towers will be called Barbara and is set to open in fall 2027.Guard’s mother used to be a flight attendant and the restaurant’s menu will be inspired by her travels, the restaurant group said in a news release.
“When people ask why I’m doing this restaurant, the answer is my mom. Barbara welcomed everyone to her table, she noticed beauty everywhere she went, she collected stories instead of souvenirs,” Guard said in the announcement. “I spent my career traveling, from Hawaii to Hong Kong to Singapore to New York and every stop taught me something about how food brings people together. Barbara is where all of that comes home.”…
