Wood is known for finding inspiration in eccentric personalities, both real and imagined. After moving from an artist community in Brooklyn to a town north of New York City, he began creating narratives around neighbors he did not actually know, and that sense of curiosity helped shape Maeva as a worldly figure with a passion for art, food, travel, and community.
