LANE COUNTY, Ore. — Smoke from the Austin Fire in Clackamas County moved over the Cascades and into the Willamette Valley on Monday, bringing unexpectedly poor air quality to Lane County, according to the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency (LRAPA).
Matt Sorensen with LRAPA said the sudden influx of wildfire smoke caught the agency somewhat by surprise.
