Freddie Williamson has wrapped up his last day as Public Schools of Robeson County Superintendent. It marked the end of a 45-1/2-year run in education, according to the Robesonian. The veteran administrator steps into retirement next week but won’t vanish from the field—he’ll keep working in leadership and education through new ventures.
Bill Harrison takes over as interim superintendent. Williamson snagged the North Carolina Association of School Administrators’ 2024 Raymond Sarbaugh Leadership Award during the NCASA 2024 Conference on Educational Leadership.
