Victims of deadly Wrightwood crash identified

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified three of the four people killed in a fiery rollover crash on the Angeles Crest Highway near Wrightwood early Friday morning.

The single-car crash happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. on the eastern edge of the Angeles National Forest between Big Pines and Wrightwood, near the border of Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The black 2016 Hyundai Veloster, which was carrying a driver and five passengers, veered off the highway and rolled down a hillside before crashing into a power pole. The car is meant to seat four people, CHP officials said. It’s unclear where the additional two passengers were seated at the time of the crash.

The victims of the crash were identified as:

  • 21-year-old Rebekah Cabral-Gonzalez
  • 19-year-old Jason Potter
  • 20-year-old Nevaeh Harper

As of Saturday evening, the medical examiner’s office has not released the identity of the fourth victim killed in the crash. Two more victims were taken to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Their current conditions are not known at this time…
