OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – According to the Nebraska State Historical Society, Omaha held a Labor Day parade as far back as the late 1800s.
The city held another one Monday. Tens of thousands of people lined downtown streets at 10th and Cass to watch the parade, featuring members of close to 100 metro area labor unions.
Labor leaders in Omaha say unions are active and attracting new members. Many people were there to show their appreciation for the work union workers do for the community…
