Brevard drops plate-reader camera plan as Flock controversy roils WNC

HENDERSONVILLE – Grassroots, bipartisan opposition to automatic license plate readers in Western North Carolina continues to mount, as another city steps away from the increasingly unpopular technology.

Henderson County activists spoke forcefully against the Hendersonville Police Department’s and Sheriff’s Office’s use of Flock cameras in recent public meetings.
