Northeast Middle locked down following fight between multiple students, no shots fired

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Law enforcement units and first responders responded to Northeast Middle School in response to a lockdown implemented by a member of school staff, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 9:38 a.m.

“Initial reports indicate that the lockdown was initiated due to a fight between multiple students. The Montgomery County School Resource Officers are investigating the matter with assistance from the Clarksville Police Department and CMCSS,” said MCSO spokesperson Bishop Delaney.

“Our investigation has concluded that a shooting has not taken place. Our deputies are continuing their investigation and will remain on scene for the safety of staff.”
