Cassidy Ritchie had been married to Chris Morland for less than a month when she disappeared in Tulsa
Police in Tulsa said Monday that they believe the husband of a woman found dead under a pile of clothes in her car is to blame for her death
Cassidy Ritchie was reported missing on Jan. 25, after her parents and children had gone four days without hearing from her, Tulsa Police Department said .
The day before, her husband of less than a month, Chris Morland, was arrested on warrants out of Texas on a separate matter.
“Morland told multiple stories, and multiple versions of those stories,” Tulsa PD said. “Morland would not come off any of his stories and maintained that she was just somewhere visiting a friend.”
On Friday, Jan. 26, Ritchie’s car was found out by the I Don’t Care Bar & Grill, on the side of Highway 412, around 20 miles east of Tulsa.
Officers wanted to retrieve the vehicle, in an effort to preserve any evidence it might hold. When they asked Morland to sign a waiver, so they could get the car, he told them to get a warrant.
