On what he saw on film from beating Texas State
“First, JJ, I’m just proud of you for showing up today. I was really concerned that if the Cowboys lost last night, you might not be in attendance. It’d be just Greg and I, so I’m really glad to see you. Pretty much what I thought: a very physical, hard-fought game from the very first kickoff to the very last play. I thought our physicality was so different than it has been in the previous times we played them. I was super proud of our effort, our grit, our defense.
“We worked hard on our red zone. We didn’t know if we’d be able to stop these guys. We tried to eliminate their big plays. Get them down to the red zone and hopefully hold them to field goals. We were very successful in doing that…
