SCOTT, La. (KLFY) – An 18-year-old man from Carencro died Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Louisiana Highway 93 near Scott.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling north on Highway 93 while the pedestrian walked along the shoulder. The pedestrian entered the northbound lane for reasons under investigation and was struck by the SUV. He died at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet was properly restrained and reported no injuries, according to state police. Investigators obtained a routine toxicology sample for testing, though police stated impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash…
