Des Moines, IA – Residents across southern and central Iowa should prepare for the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms Tuesday night, October 13, as a developing weather system brings threats of large hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall into early Wednesday morning.
According to the National Weather Service in Des Moines, showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop along a boundary stretching across southern into central Iowa Tuesday evening. Some storms could become strong to severe overnight.
