MERRILL, Wis. (WJFW) — An 18-year-old Madison teenager was in Lincoln County Court Thursday facing First degree homicide charges in the death of counselor Corey Proulx at Lincoln Hills School in 2024.
In 2024, a 16-year-old Javarius Hurd was at Lincoln Hills School. In June of that year, Hurd allegedly assaulted Proulx on the basketball court of the facility. That incident led to the eventual death of Proulx, 49.
