Maryland Transit Administration officials announced this week that construction on the Spring Street Bridge in downtown Silver Spring is nearly complete and that the bridge will soon reopen to traffic.
We reported last month that work on the long-delayed bridge continued as part of the Maryland Purple Line light rail project, with its main span in place over the CSX and Metro train tracks.
