Family of victim in Mackenzie Shirilla case pushing to change Ohio law

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Turning heartbreak into fuel for change, the family of Dominic Russo is taking action to make sure his murderer, Mackenzie Shirilla, can never profit from his death.

Shirilla was convicted of killing 20-year-old Russo and his friend 19-year-old Davian Flanagan in an intentional car crash in 2022.

Investigators said Shirilla, who was 17 at the time, drove a vehicle 100 mph into a brick wall in Strongsville, killing both young men upon impact…
