TWINSBURG, Ohio (WJW) — Residents of the Woodlands development who fled following a natural gas explosion and fires on Thursday returned to their homes on Friday to assess the damage and collect what of their belongings they could take with them.
The explosion, triggered by contractors working in the neighborhood, leveled one home setting two neighboring homes ablaze.

But the blast also damaged numerous other nearby homes. Residents of those homes telling Fox 8 News they cannot stay in them fearing structural damage.
Among those homes is that of Ralph Rogers’ 91-year-old mother who was there at the time of the explosion with his sister.
“They heard a knock on the door and to shelter in place because there was a gas leak, so they sat down in the living room and just waited and 10 minutes later, it detonated,” Rodgers said. “They thought it was a giant tree that had collapsed on the house at first.”…
