Northeast Ohio Dachshund Picnic returns with tons of cute pups

KENT, Ohio (WJW) – The Northeast Ohio Dachshund Picnic returned Saturday with hundreds of dogs in attendance, many of them in costume!

The annual celebration of adorable wiener dogs always draws a huge crowd, and the 2026 edition was no exception with more than 550 people and 350 dogs filling Fred Fuller Park in Kent to celebrate the adorable breed.

The annual gathering of dachshunds started as a small gathering of friends in a backyard nearly 30 years ago. It has now grown into one of the largest dachshund events in Ohio.
